Passion, secrecy, intimacy. The delicate balance between beauty and repulsion, Eros raw, intwined with Thanatos, amorphous and unknown. These dialogs of shape and texture explore the experience of the coital embrace and the memory of both pain and pleasure. Drawing insists upon a deliberateness, like any primal mark, which preceeds all other languages for me. But it also has that nature unto itself, taking complete liberties with the life of a single line.
